established in 1933 during British rule, has resumed
operations for 2023-24. Located in Mandya, the "Sugar
City," the state-run factory aims to crush 1 to 5
thousand tonnes of sugarcane daily after overcoming a
technical delay.

the October 2024 sugar price at ₹36.80/kg and opened
sales at its premises. Crushing operations resumed in
July and are on track to achieve a 2.5 lakh-tonne target
for the year, with daily supplies reaching 3,000 tonnes.

the previous year’s output. Farmers welcomed timely

crush 4 lakh metric tonnes in 2024-25. A proposal for a
new plant at Sathanur Farm is under review.

Mandya’s state-run MySugar factory will restart
operations on June 30, following a ₹50 crore revival
fund. MLA Ganiga Ravikumar urged efficient preparations
and proposed revenue-generating projects. The factory
plans to crush 500 tons on day one, scaling to 2,500
tons daily, with timely payments to farmers every
fortnight.
